Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our night shift team. This full-time role includes rotating weekends, self scheduling, and a $20,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment.

You will provide patient care, document care, and collaborate with the care team while supporting education for patients and families and participating in performance improvement efforts. Current Kentucky RN license required; BCLS; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned
