Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends. The role emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered care within a collaborative care team and adherence to nursing standards.

You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, provide education, and advocate for patients and families, while aligning with organizational values and state practice requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Associates degree acceptable to start; Bachelors degree required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years.
• Experience in Ortho is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the health status and needs of patients and families in collaboration with the care team.
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Formulate and implement nursing care plans.
• Provide care within the RN scope and in compliance with applicable laws.
• Develop and implement patient teaching plans for health promotion and restoration.
• Offer education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients directly or via delegation to team members.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatments and outcomes.
• Apply critical thinking to analyze clinical data and guide nursing decisions.
