Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time Night shift (7:00pm-7:00am) with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Ortho/Med Surg setting, collaborating with physicians and care teams to ensure excellent outcomes.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree, TX RN license or compact license, BLS, and at least 1 year in acute care. BSN required within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years.
• Ortho experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with department standards.
• Collaborate with providers and care team to ensure outstanding patient experience.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and formulate care plans.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients through direct care or delegation as needed.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adapt care accordingly.
• Apply critical thinking to analyze clinical data and current literature.
