Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with providers and the care team to ensure excellent outcomes and patient satisfaction.

The role emphasizes assessments, care planning, patient education, and advocacy, with a focus on the organization’s vision and values across a large, advanced medical network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Associates degree acceptable to start; Bachelor's required within 24 months.
• Current TX RN license or compact license.
• Current BLS certification issued by AHA or ARC.
• Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience within last 3 years.
• Orthopedics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine health status and needs of patients through data interpretation in collaboration with the care team.
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Formulate a nursing care plan based on diagnoses and problems.
• Implement nursing care within RN scope and compliant with laws.
• Develop and implement teaching plans for patients.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients directly or via delegation of care to team members.
• Evaluate patient responses and outcomes to interventions.
• Use critical thinking to analyze data and literature for decisions in nursing practice.
