Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Full Time Day shift (7:00am-7:00pm) with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Ortho/Med-Surg area, following established nursing models and collaborating with the care team.

You’ll engage in comprehensive assessments, care planning, patient education, and advocacy to support positive outcomes. A bachelor’s degree within 24 months and TX RN license are required, with BLS and acute care experience

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
Associate degree acceptable; Bachelor's within 24 months of hire.
Current TX RN license or compact license.
Current BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years.
Ortho experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Determine patient health status and needs through interpretation of health data with the care team.
Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of health status.
Formulate and implement nursing care plans.
Provide nursing care within RN scope and applicable laws.
Develop and implement patient teaching plans for promotion and restoration of health.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
Care for multiple patients through direct care or delegation.
Evaluate patient responses and outcomes to interventions.
Apply critical thinking to clinical data for nursing decisions.
