Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an RN for the NT6 Observation unit on a 43-bed unit in Illinois. The position supports acute care ranging from cardiac to general surgery and behavioral health with a typical 24–48 hour stay and a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio.

External applicants may receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus and commit to 3 years. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity within a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• RN license required upon hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Nursing diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Completes initial assessment upon admission and develops a care plan.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Monitors IV sites every 4 hours; starts new IVs per policy.
• Ensures patient and employee safety and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in continuous education.
