Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an RN for NT6 Observation on a 43-bed unit that delivers acute care for cardiac, general surgery, and behavioral health patients, with 24- to 48-hour stays.

The role operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and collaborates closely with physicians and ancillary staff. A unit educator, two nurse supervisors, charge nurses, and a discharge nurse support daily operations.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• RN license must be obtained prior to or upon hire.
• Nursing diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment on admission and develop a plan of care.
• Document nursing care accurately and consistently.
• Provide nursing interventions, monitor IVs, and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to achieve outcomes.
