Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NT6 Observation unit. The 43-bed unit provides acute care for cardiac, general surgery, and behavioral health patients with a 24–48 hour length of stay; nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants.

Candidates must have RN licensure upon hire, a Nursing Diploma, and BLS within 30 days. The role involves teamwork with physicians and ancillary staff and ongoing unit education and safety

Qualifications

• RN with >1 year of experience
• BLS certification within 30 days
• RN license required upon hire

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care and document accurately for the care team.
• Complete initial assessment on admission and develop a plan of care.
• Maintain safety and report safety hazards and incidents.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in unit goals.
