Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a registered nurse for the NT6 Observation unit, a 35-bed setting providing acute care across cardiac, general surgery, and behavioral health cases. Typical length of stay is 24–48 hours, with a patient ratio of 1:5–6 and close collaboration with physicians and allies.

The role requires current RN license, BLS within 30 days, and a nursing diploma. External applicants are welcome, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• RN License required upon hire and Nursing Diploma.
• RN experience of more than 1 year on an acute care/Observation unit.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment on admission and develop a plan of care according to unit standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support care delivery and communication with the healthcare team.
• Ensure patient and staff safety, participate in rounds, and communicate changes in status promptly.
