Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg Tele (PRN) to support night shifts 7:00pm–7:00am with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

This role requires a TX RN license, current BLS, and acute care experience preferred. You will document thoroughly, educate patients and families, and advocate for patients within established nursing models.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Associate's Degree acceptable to start; Bachelor’s Degree required within 24 months of hire.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• 1 year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during each shift, report changes.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.

Education

Accredited nursing program graduate

Associate's Degree acceptable to start; Bachelor's required within 24 months
