Job summary

Carle Health's 9A Medical-Surgical unit is seeking an experienced RN to provide care for medically complex patients. The unit supports collaboration among nurses, providers, families, therapists, and pharmacists to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license and the required education, with a focus on teamwork, patient safety, and continuous professional growth within a Magnet-designated system. A sign-on bonus is offered for External applicants.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA) (per facility policy).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Education: H.S. Diploma/GED; Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care for the care team.
• Completes admission assessment and develops a care plan based on patient and family needs.
• Delivers plan of care and nursing interventions with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Effectively communicates with the health care team to promote collaboration and safety.
