Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in the United States is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator - RN to ensure timely and accurate MDS assessments and review of care plans for residents across our nursing centers. You will coordinate with nursing, dietary, social services, restorative and physician teams to maximize reimbursement while maintaining high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall process and tracking of Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement for services provided within the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to assure achievement of maximum allowable RUG categories.
• Integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
