Job summary

The MDS Nurse at Good Samaritan Pipestone oversees resident assessments, planning, and coordination of care for seniors in a compassionate, Christian environment. You will lead the nursing team in applying the RN process, evaluating care plans, and ensuring high quality daily care for residents.

Candidates should hold an RN license, prefer a BSN, and have at least one year of geriatric experience. The role offers full-time hours, day shifts, on-site work, and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Graduate from an NLN- or AACN-accredited nursing program (preferred).
• Minimum of one year experience as a licensed nurse with seniors (preferred).
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license; state licensure or multistate licensure may apply.
• CEU and competency training are required and encouraged.
• Affiliation with a professional nursing organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and care planning.
• Coordinate resident care and collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams.
• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process across patient care
• Possess duties of charge nurse as assigned to ensure safe, reliable care.
