Job summary

Good Samaritan Pipestone is seeking an experienced MDS Nurse to lead nursing staff and oversee resident assessments in a senior care setting. You will evaluate care plans, coordinate with families and interdisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality nursing care across all resident needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from NLN or AACN accredited nursing program preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as licensed nurse with elderly population.
• Unencumbered RN license in state where practice is occurring.
• Affiliation with a nursing organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate activities of the nursing staff.
• Lead the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
• Assess and update resident care plans and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate care with residents, families and inter-disciplinary team.
• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process.
• Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Ensure compliance with Nurse Practice Act and professional standards.
