Job summary

The MDS Nurse at Good Samaritan Pipestone uses independent judgment to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing staff engaged in each resident’s care plan. The RN evaluates care and keeps plans current, leading the Resident Assessment Instrument process and admissions assessments to ensure high-quality life for residents.

On the floor, the RN coordinates care using the nursing process, delegates tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, and provides individualized nursing care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an NLN or AACN accredited nursing program preferred.
• Minimum one year experience as a licensed nurse with senior population preferred.
• RAC-CT certification or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing staff in resident care planning and evaluation.
• Coordinate Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processes and assessments.
• Collaborate with residents, families and the care team to assure high-quality life.
