Job summary

Life Care Center of Cheyenne is seeking an RN MDS Coordinator to manage timely CMS MDS assessments, CCAs, and care plans in a post-acute setting. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure regulatory compliance, educate staff on CMS RAI updates, and review validation reports to support accurate billing and resident care.

Requires an active RN license and at least two years of nursing experience, preferably in geriatric settings; strong knowledge of post-acute care regulations is

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Must maintain an active RN license in good standing.
• Two years' nursing experience; geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in field of practice.
• Knowledgeable of CMS RAI Manual Regulations and post-acute care regulations.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with completion and submission of interdisciplinary MDS Assessments, CCAs, and Care Plans.
• Provide education to direct care associates regarding CMS RAI Manual updates or regulations impacting documentation.
• Review Final Validation Reports and attest that assessments are completed and accepted in CMS QIES prior to billing.
