Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Full Time MDS Coordinator (RN) to join our Oceanside team. You will oversee the MDS assessment process, review care plans, and coordinate with nursing, dietary, social services, and physicians to ensure high-quality care and proper reimbursement.

Experience in long-term care is preferred. Qualifications include RN licensure and at least one year in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall process and tracking of Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement for services provided within the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to assure achievement of maximum allowable RUG categories.
• Integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
