Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• BSN required; BSN-enrollment within 1 year if not yet BSN.
• BLS required; professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance nursing practice and service delivery.
• Assist with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinate communication at regular intervals through staff meetings/huddles to promote dialogue.
• Collaborate to ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and policies.
• Round on patients, teammates, and physicians to gauge satisfaction and care quality.
• Delegate care to appropriate healthcare workers per policy.
• Assist in identifying expected outcomes and provide direction for continuity of care/operations.
• Evaluate progress toward goals and disseminate information to the care team.
• Perform nursing care, assist with treatments and administer medications as necessary.
• Coordinate patient flow, staffing and throughput based on volume/acuity.
