Job summary

The Labor & Delivery Unit at Carolinas Medical Center (Advocate Health) in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time nurse leader to oversee patient care, staffing, and operations. The role focuses on high-quality perinatal nursing with 24/7 physician support and a Magnet-designated facility.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, supervising staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. BSN preferred and RN licensure in the state.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state.
• BSN required; BSN or enrollment as applicable within timeframe.
• BLS certification is required.
• Professional certification in nursing leadership or specialty is encouraged.
• Enrollment in BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer date is expected if BSN not yet completed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for direct provision of patient care and assisting the manager with daily operations.
• Coordinate patient care and outcomes, staffing, and program development.
• Rounding on patients, staff, and physicians to evaluate care quality and satisfaction.
• Supervise and develop nursing personnel; participate in interviews and staff orientation.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and hospital policies; promote continuous improvement.
