Advocate Health’s Labor and Delivery unit at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is hiring an RN Nurse Manager to lead daily operations and clinical coordination. You will oversee staffing, patient outcomes, and regulatory compliance, while partnering with physicians and leadership to maintain high-quality perinatal care in a Magnet-designated facility.

The role requires BSN, RN licensure, and leadership experience, with 3 12-hour shifts per week (7p-7a) and weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• BSN required.
• RN candidates without BSN must enroll within 1 year and complete within 3 years.
• BLS required per policy.
• Professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager with nursing practice quality and delivery of care in the department.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication via staff meetings/huddles to exchange information.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, healthcare regulations and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care quality and staffing needs.
• Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers.
• Assists in identifying outcomes to guide continuity of care and departmental operations.
• Performs nursing care, administers medications as necessary, and supports patient throughput.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through assessment of volume and acuity.
