Job summary

Essentia Health in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med-Surg unit to manage care for a medically and socially complex patient population on an 8-hour shift schedule. You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, plan and implement care, and coordinate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

Strong clinical skills with IV management, wound care, and anticoagulation management are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Minnesota.
• BCLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire.
• Hiring incentive available: ADN up to $7,500; BSN up to $10,000.

Job Description

• An excellent unit to gain experience with a variety of patient conditions
• Come join our unit where there is great team building and skill development!
• On this unit the nurses manage a vast variety of medical needs. Some of the day to day tasks include: IV management, IV antibiotics, anticoagulation drug administration, blood administration, wound, diabetes, and hypertension management.
• This is a very active floor with medically and socially complex patients. Nurses need to really be in tune to their patients to manage the care they required. It is a great place to learn and develop skills.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be in charge of organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• You will get to be a team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
• You will be part of something bigger as you will contribute to meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serve the community in which you live.
• You will meet the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire
• Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to: ADN: $7,500 BSN: $10,000

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range: $45.03 - $68.87
