Job summary

Adventist Health Castle in Kailua, HI, seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to lead a clinical unit, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The role collaborates with physicians and staff, mentors nursing teams, and drives compliance with regulatory standards on a dynamic hospital unit.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, with preferred MSN, and has prior leadership and acute-care experience. Relocation and sign-on bonuses are available as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience – Required.
• Master's Degree – Preferred.
• Five years' technical experience – Preferred.
• One year's leadership experience – Preferred.
• Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting – Preferred.
• RN licensure in the state of practice – Required.
• CPR/BLS certification – Preferred.
• National specialty certification in area of expertise or nursing administration – Preferred.
• BSL/Basic Life Support required
• NRP, FHM, ACLS, TEAM/TEAM-A certifications – Required.

Responsibilities

• Builds a high performing clinical work team by recruiting and retaining skilled staff.
• Directs daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care.
• Sets goals for patient safety, quality of care and regulatory compliance.
• Develops action plans to improve patient/family and physician satisfaction.
• Manages unit staffing, schedules, and overtime with management collaboration.
• Ensures throughput through discharge planning and admissions/ transfers.
• Maintains equipment safety and readiness, and conducts emergency preparedness reviews.
