Job summary

McCormick's Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an LPN or RN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities conducted by nursing assistants. This role ensures care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards under the Director of Nursing.

The successful candidate will direct shifts, administer medications as ordered, and maintain meticulous documentation while upholding privacy and safety for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Current CPR Certification is required
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents; maintain shift reports and discuss activities with staff.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information and ensure privacy.
• Provide IV care, supervise nursing staff, and perform routine charting per policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
