Job summary

McCormick's Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an LPN or RN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. Responsibilities include directing day-to-day nursing activities, admitting/discharging residents, charting, and coordinating with physicians.

Applicants mustHold RN or LPN licensure, be proficient in English, and understand applicable regulations. CPR certification is required; LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure or an Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines for care facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete and file admission, transfer, and discharge records; transcribe physician orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain rapport with inter-departmental staff and ensure quality nursing care.
• Provide and supervise professional services (catheterization, tube feedings, dressings, etc.).
• Monitor safety and confidentiality; report incidents and maintain privacy.
