Job summary

Mccormick is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities in our facility.

The role requires CPR certification, English proficiency, and solid knowledge of nursing practices and regulations. Prior long-term care experience is preferred, with a focus on maintaining high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed (RN or LPN) and in good standing in Indiana.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when required.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and applicable laws/regulations.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan the shift's services.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents; provide leadership to nursing staff.
• Complete and file admission/transfer/discharge records; transcribe physician orders; chart nursing notes.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain rapport with inter-departmental staff and ensure quality care in a calm environment.
• Provide and monitor advanced nursing procedures (catheterization, dressings, tube feedings, etc.).
• Monitor safety and confidentiality; report incidents and ensure privacy.
• Provide IV care as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
