Job summary

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the state where the facility operates.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete and file admission/discharge records; transcribe orders and chart care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop a collaborative rapport with all departments to ensure quality care.
• Administer catheterization, dressings, blood draws and other procedures as required.
• Monitor staff compliance with safety regulations for equipment and supplies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in all nursing care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
