Job summary

Villa At West Branch is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. The RN assumes accountability for a group of residents for a shift, coordinating care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.

Responsibilities include administering medications, recording progress, and ensuring a safe, sanitary environment. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and the ability to multi-task are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Understands infection control standards, policies and procedures.
• Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel.
• Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Provides and receives nursing reports at shift change.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas and treatment rooms.
• Directs the day-to-day CNA services to ensure care meets standards.
• Takes and records vital signs, administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Charts nurses notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Counts controlled drugs with the shift and addresses discrepancies.
• Admits, transfers and discharges residents as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
