Job summary

Villa At West Branch is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Michigan. The RN will assume responsibility for a group of residents per shift, providing nursing care through assessment, planning, and evaluation of care plans.

Responsibilities include administering medications, vital signs, catheter and IV care, and coordinating with physicians. The role requires CPR certification, a valid RN license, and prior LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Provides and receives nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Ensures assigned work area is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Directs and supervises day-to-day CNA services for the unit to ensure quality care.
• Performs vital signs, catheter care, IV therapy and respiratory care as ordered within license scope.
• Transcribes physician orders to resident charts and MARs.
• Prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Documents nursing notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Counts controlled drugs with the shift and reports discrepancies.
• Maintains a safe environment by addressing hazards and safety risks.
• Keeps appropriate shift reports and makes patient admissions/transfers/discharges as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
