Job summary

Villa At the Park seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its care team. The RN assumes responsibility for residents during a shift, delivering nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care plan.

The role requires state licensure, CPR certification, and 1 year of experience (long-term care preferred). Excellent communication and infection-control skills are essential for patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed nurse practicing in the state.
• CPR certification required.
• Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• 1 year of experience preferred; long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Reports nursing activities at shift change and at end of duty hours.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas and resident rooms.
• Supervises day-to-day certified nursing assistant services.
• Takes vital signs, administers catheter care and IV therapy as ordered.
• Transcribes physician orders to charts and MAR.
• Prepares and administers medications as ordered.
• Documents nursing notes reflecting care provided and patient response.
• Counts controlled drugs with shift handoff and reports discrepancies.
• Ensures a safe resident environment and addresses safety risks.
• Admits, transfers and discharges residents as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
