Job summary

Laurels of Kent in Michigan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee and coordinate resident care across shifts under the direction of the Director of Nursing. You will supervise CNAs/STNAs, ensure continuity of care, and serve as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.

Requirements include an active LPN license, CPR certification, 1–2 years of long-term care experience preferred, and a commitment to compassionate, compliant care within a Michigan skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.
• Active state LPN license to practice.
• CPR certification required or obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing and safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements; conducts evaluations.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with policies and laws.
