Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This on-site position supports expectant mothers and newborns across labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

New graduates are welcome and may join our Nurse Residency Program with monthly seminars and mentoring. We offer tuition reimbursement opportunities, safety gear, shift differentials, malpractice insurance, loan forgiveness, and EPIC charting.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing and active NM state license (or compact) are required.
BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and manage the physical and emotional well-being of patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Perform fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate tracings to ensure maternal and fetal health.
Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and anesthesia teams during deliveries, including cesarean sections or emergency procedures.
Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery.
Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and epidurals while monitoring for adverse reactions.
Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage or fetal distress.
