Dallas Regional Medical Center, a Prime Healthcare affiliate, seeks an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery in a full-time day shift. You will monitor mothers and newborns, support labor with techniques and comfort measures, and manage IV therapy. This role emphasizes advocacy, safety, and collaborative care within the obstetric team.

Qualified candidates hold a current RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring credentials. A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.

Responsabilités

• Maternal Monitoring: blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, oxygen saturation; monitor for preeclampsia or infection.
• Labor Support: assist with positioning, breathing techniques, comfort measures.
• IV Therapy: start and maintain IVs for hydration, meds, or anesthesia.
• Patient Advocacy: advocate during labor for patient plans or cultural needs.
• Newborn Care: assess newborns (Apgar), cord clamping, prophylactic meds.
• Coordinate care along antepartum and postpartum periods.
