Job summary

ChristianaCare invites new RN graduates and nursing students to its Labor and Delivery Nurse Residency Program, a 26-week course with clinical training across Labor & Delivery, Perioperative, OB High Risk, and Antenatal Care. The program blends classroom instruction, simulation, peer support, and preceptored practice to build confidence and expertise.

Participants complete multidisciplinary sessions and transition visits, with the Delaware licensure process supported during the program.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program before June 2027 (BSN preferred).
• Hold or obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Have less than 12 months of RN experience by the program start date.
• Hold a Delaware RN license or Compact State RN license before the start date.
• Be willing and able to work all shifts, including Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• 26-week residency program across four Labor & Delivery specialty areas.
• Structured education with hands-on clinical experiences and simulation-based learning.
• Peer support, preceptor-led training, and professional development opportunities.
• Residency development sessions in months 6, 8, 10, and 12 to enhance growth.

Education
