Job summary
Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Labor and Delivery team. You will care for expectant mothers, newborns and families through labor, delivery and postpartum, with a focus on patient‑centered, evidence‑based practice.
We welcome both new graduates and experienced RNs, offering a Nurse Residency, tuition reimbursement, shift differentials, and a supportive wellness program. This full‑time role operates 12‑hour night shifts.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- State NM or Compact Nursing License required.
- BLS certification required at time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Care for expectant mothers, newborns and families during labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rate and perform diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives during deliveries, including cesarean sections.
- Educate new mothers on breastfeeding and infant care.
- Administer medications, IV fluids and epidurals while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage or fetal distress.
