Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor and Delivery team. This PRN position offers varied day and evening hours in the United States, with a minimum offer range and shift differentials to support night/weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include leading patient care delivery, coordinating with the care team, and ensuring informed consent and education for patients.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• State NM or compact-state nursing license is required.
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
• ACLS certification is required.
• PALS certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Oversees delivery of patient care and delegates assignments to home health aides and nursing staff based on patient acuity and staff capability.
• Maintains clinical competence and directly provides patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with specialists as required and adjusts care plans.
• Coordinates patient care through collaboration with patient, family, disciplines, physicians and community resources.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing philosophy and supports patients and families.
• Ensures patients understand rights, responsibilities, informed consent during admission.
• Maintains knowledge of current nursing research, standards, policies, and hospital protocols to improve care.
• Maintains proficiency with equipment used in practice.
• Communicates effectively with nursing team and other disciplines; participates in problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Performs on-call duties and triages patients by phone and in person when needed.
• Directs ongoing educational needs for ICD9/diagnoses related to diabetes, wounds/post-surgical care, nutrition, etc.
• Performs other functions as required.
