Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking an RN for Labor & Delivery. The role involves 12-hour PRN shifts, nights and days, weekends and holidays, in a dedicated Women's Services Unit with Level 2B nursery and Mother Baby care.

You will assess patients, implement nursing interventions, and maintain high-quality documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Licensure, education, and certifications are required with ongoing professional development supported by the hospital.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide age-appropriate care based on patient condition.
• Document medical necessity in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely quality improvement assessments.
