Harris Regional Hospital - A Duke LifePoint Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery on the night shift. This full-time role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new grads or $20,000 for experienced RNs with a 2-year commitment for eligible candidates.

Schedule: 3x12s, 7p-7a, with rotating weekends and holidays. The unit features a Level 2B nursery, a Mother Baby Unit, and a Labor & Delivery unit, with ~50 deliveries per month and opportunities to cross-train across the

• Must have NC or compact RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days; ACLS and PALS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

Join our team in a 18-bed Women's Services Unit featuring a Level 2B nursery with 6 beds, 8 bed Mother Baby Unit and 5 bed Labor and delivery unit.. With an average of 50 deliveries per month and a below-average C-section rate, our unit provides comprehensive care for expectant mothers and newborns. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to promoting a positive birthing experience and ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and infants alike. You will also have the opportunity to cross-train in different areas of this department to gain experience. This department utilizes a self-scheduling application.

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
