Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a dedicated RN Labor and Delivery nurse to assure safe, high‑quality care from admission through post-delivery. The role requires familiarity with vaginal and C-section births, fetal monitoring and newborn care in the first two hours of life.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited nursing degree, active TX RN license, BLS, and ACLS/NRP within specified timelines, with C-EFM preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Current TX RN License or RN multi-state compact license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS provider.
• ACLS and NRP required within 3 months of hire.
• NRP within 3 months of hire for interns or ACLS within one year of hire.
• Complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course within 1 year of hire or provide documentation of completion.
• C-EFM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, safe, high quality care from admission to post delivery.
• Care for laboring patients including vaginal and C-section births, fetal monitoring, and anesthesia support.
• Deliver newborn care in the first two hours of life.
