Job summary
Medical City Arlington is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced obstetric unit in Arlington, TX. The Labor and Delivery RN delivers professional nursing care to all patients in Fetal Diagnostic Center and Labor and Delivery, including assessment, acuity assignment, and adherence to nursing processes.
Daily assignments may include supervision of other nursing personnel and students, with responsibilities aligned to patient
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Current BLS- Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- Must have recent Labor and Delivery acute care experience of at least 1 year.
- 1+ Year's experience of L and D Required.
- 2+ Year's L and D experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
