Job summary

Medical City Dallas seeks an RN for labor and delivery to provide consistent, safe, high-quality care from admission through post-delivery. You will be familiar with vaginal and C-section births, fetal monitoring, and care for patients receiving anesthesia.

You will also deliver newborn care in the first two hours of life in PACU recovery. Requirements include BSN within 24 months of hire, Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS and NRP within three months, and C-EFM preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Current TX RN License or RN multi-state compact license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS provider.
• ACLS and NRP required within 3 months of hire.
• Interns must complete NRP within 3 months of hire and ACLS within one year of hire.
• Must complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course within 1 year of hire or provide documentation of completion.
• C-EFM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for consistent, safe, high quality care of all laboring patients from admission to post delivery.
• Familiar with vaginal and C-section births, fetal monitoring, and care for patients with various anesthesia.
• Provide care during PACU period and newborn care during first two hours of life.
