UNC Health Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC, is seeking a Clinical Nurse for Labor & Delivery to provide competent, nurse-led patient care in a Level II unit. The role reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and requires delivery of care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

The position includes night shifts, 36 hours per week, and is onsite at Johnston Health. Requires NC RN license and BLS; one year of nursing experience is preferred, with an incentive program available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
• One (1) year of nursing experience.

Responsabilités

• Education - participate in learning needs and patient education materials.
• Evaluation of care - identify outcomes and coordinate with the team.
• Implementation - provide care for patients with complex needs and follow procedures.
• Leadership - support unit goals, communication, and collaboration.
• Patient assessment - recognize needs and plan discharge.
• Planning - collaborate to update care plan and coordinate resources.
• Research - read studies and bring ideas for practice improvement.
