Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery to join a 3x12 hour shift schedule (days) on a full-time basis. Active NC RN license and BCLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP are required, with 2 years of L&D experience and 3–5 years in LDRP preferred.

The team operates under AWHONN guidelines with 1:1 active labor ratios and a comprehensive benefits package. Relocation not mentioned; apply to join a dedicated maternity care team committed to high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact; relocate and update PSOR before employment begins.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and FHN-AWHONN required.
• At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• 3 to 5 years of LDRP experience preferred.
• Trained in Mother/Baby preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
