Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery for PRN varied shifts. You will assess patients, initiate nursing interventions, and contribute to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan, supporting high-acuity maternal care in a 6-room L&D unit.

You must hold an active NC RN license; BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and AWHONN training are required. 2+ years L&D experience is required; 3–5 years LDRP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NC RN license is required.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and FHN-AWHONN training required.
• At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience is required.
• 3–5 years of LDRP experience is preferred.
• Mother/Baby training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents medical necessity in the medical record.
• Completes and revises Interdisciplinary Care Plans for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
