Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns throughout antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods.

The RN will monitor vital signs, assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, administer medications per orders, and educate families on labor progression and recovery. Strong OB nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice is required.
• 1-2 years of labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate patterns throughout labor.
• Administers medications, including oxytocin and pain management, per physician orders.
• Assists with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Provides immediate newborn assessment and care after delivery.
• Educates patients and families on labor progress, pain management, and postpartum recovery.
• Recognizes obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage or fetal distress.

Education & Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Minimum 1-2 years of labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN license in state of practice (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (Required)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (Preferred)
• Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) certification (Preferred)
