Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct care as part of an inter-disciplinary team for a variety of complex patients. The role includes coordinating patient care and supervising care delivery among nursing staff, physicians, and support services.

Ideal candidates will have a New Jersey RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and at least 6 months of nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• Must have six (6) or more months of nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
• A BSN is strongly preferred or must obtain within 3 years of hire.
• Telemetry Certification preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, accountability for improving patients’ lives, strong teamwork, ongoing education, and delivering high quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.
• Directs and oversees care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
