Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking a registered nurse to provide postoperative and acute care using the nursing process. You will lead individualized patient care and coordinate with the nursing team to ensure quality outcomes in a hospital setting.

New grads are encouraged to apply through the Nurse Residency Program. You must hold an IA RN license or compact state, with in-house BLS/ACLS certification offered on hire.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients requiring hospitalization
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements:

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
• IA RN license or compact state
• BLS and ACLS - inhouse certification available upon hire
• New grads encouraged to apply - Nurse Residency Program upon hire!

Schedule:

• 72 hours a pay period.12 hour shifts. Day/Night. Holidays. Weekends
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
