Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking an RN to provide postoperative and acute care using the nursing process, collaborating with the nursing team to deliver total patient care. You will apply age-appropriate protocols for patients’ physical and psychological needs.

Ideal candidates are IA-licensed RNs or compact state, with BLS/ACLS (in-house cert on hire) and openness to a Nurse Residency Program. Regular 72-hour pay periods with 12-hour shifts, day/night, and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients requiring hospitalization
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems

Schedule
