Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking an RN to provide inpatient nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients. You will apply the nursing process to tailor care and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

The role features 12-hour day/night shifts and a 72-hour pay period with weekend/holiday rotation. New grads are encouraged to apply, and a Nurse Residency Program is available on hire.

Qualifications

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems.
• IA RN license or compact state is required; BLS/ACLS certifications preferred or in-house upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for post-operative and acute inpatient needs.
• Assume responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during the shift.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to provide total patient care.
• Apply appropriate age-related patient protocols for physical and psychological needs.
