Job summary

Camellia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mobile, Alabama, seeks an RN to join our leadership team as Infection Preventionist and Staff Development Coordinator. This role blends clinical leadership, employee education, and infection prevention to ensure resident safety and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor staff, drive quality improvement, and build ongoing training programs for nursing teams while partnering with nursing leadership to support survey readiness and robust education

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
• Experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long term care setting preferred.
• Previous experience with infection prevention, employee education, or clinical leadership is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for teaching and developing clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Monitor infection surveillance activities and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and provide orientation, annual education, and ongoing training for nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including CMS and CDC guidelines.
• Partner with nursing leadership to promote quality improvement initiatives.
• Conduct clinical audits and assist with survey readiness.
• Maintain required documentation, reporting, and education records.
• Serve as a clinical resource for nurses, nursing assistants, and other team members.
• Help foster a culture focused on education, safety, and exceptional resident care.
