Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Heart and Vascular unit. The role focuses on educating patients and families, mentoring staff, and applying evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.

Shifts are 3, 12-hour nights per week (6:45 pm - 7:15 am). In Montgomery County, this faith-based nonprofit provides comprehensive benefits, professional development, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
